Last year our two boys attended the First Steps Preschool and Enrichment program. They absolutely loved it and I was amazed with the things they were learning and projects they were coming home with. I will never forget at dinner one evening our three-year-old son just started talking about presidents and all the things he knew about past presidents. Our son that just turned two learned to enjoy time away from Mommy and all the fun things to do when you go to school.
First Steps is currently looking for three teachers for the 2017-2018 school year. All teachers are provided with curriculum and supplies. Teachers choose which themes and activities they want to do with the kids; based upon their classes unique personalities and preferences.
Each day includes:
-a welcome to the class time activity
-a circle time where they learn about: numbers, shapes, colors, weather, and calendar skills-Time for gross motor skills (playground or gym)
-Time for fine motor skills (hands on activity, craft, or one on one writing time with a teacher),
-Bible story
-Bible verse memorization
-another circle time for stories, songs and movement
Current Openings:
Position title: First Steps Enrichment Teacher
Days/times: Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 am-noon
Classes with openings:
-10 two year olds with a co-teacher
-10 three year olds with a co-teacher
-10 four year olds with a co-teacher.
Pay: $30/morning session.
If you have a child that you would like to enroll in classes there are still openings that have been reserved for teacher's children.
